I'm Mary Sun. I started learning how to paint in my 70s.

In 2019, I joined the China Dapeng Traditional Chinese Painting Academy where I studied how to paint flowers, birds, landscapes, figures as well as sketching.

Last year I enrolled in the City of Burnaby’s Bonsor 55+ oil and water colour painting classes to improve my painting skills.

Now I am painting with the Bonsor 55+ Society’s Open Art Studio group, which is a lovely group of painters that I can now call my friends.

They are all excellent and we have a lot of fun learning from each other.
