A large crowd gathered at our local cenotaph to commemorate this important event, despite the cold,wet weather.  Brian Pound, our Vice President placed the Bonsor 55+ Society wreath to pay our respects for all those who came before us and made the ultimate sacrifice.  The coffee bar and baking group leaders provided free coffee,tea, and delicious chocolate cookies in the lounge to a large, grateful group of members, presided over by our President, and we also took a moment to remember our distinguished and beloved member Sam Naicker, the member who had placed the wreath so proudly for so many years.  The Open Arts Group made a wonderful tribute of poppy art, both upstairs and in the lounge.
